“And Then” is the first proper album by A New Life as “Heart To Heart” collected two digital singles, one tape and four new tracks.
Containing ten new tracks recorded between 2011 and 2015, “And Then” is not properly a compilation of lost songs, but it’s an album that wanted to be released.
I decided, mastered, did the graphics and published it on Bandcamp in less than two days and found myself listening to it four times in a day, which is not bad for an album which I didn’t plan to release.
“And Then” it’s a particular album as it contains six instrumentals and four songs with vocals.
The atmosphere is generally melancholic but less troubled than the previous recordings as most of the tracks have been composed sometimes after my separation/divorce (yes, that’s the meaning of A New Life... a new beginning).
Tracks like “Another Day”, make me think about the League Limited Orchestra ones: tracks that born with vocals but that somehow stand on themselves also without them and that, in that way, are acquiring a new life... ooops. I did it again!
Let’s celebrate our new lives in these unpredictable times.
